How do I dispute my debt?
If you believe that a portion or the entirety of your debt is either invalid or inaccurate, you can dispute the debt.
You can log in to dispute your debt or complete the form here, email us at help@getremynt.com, call or text us at 856-440-9993, or send us a letter to Remynt, 235 Montgomery Street, Suite 600, San Francisco, CA 94104.
If you opt to log in first, click the Dispute debt button to bring up the dispute form.
You will then be asked to fill out the form, detailing what debt you are disputing and the reason for the dispute, and to provide an email address for further communication. If you select the “Other” field for either the dispute or the reason, you will be prompted to provide an explanation of the situation. If you select “Fraud/Identity theft” as the reason for the dispute, you will be asked to include filing numbers from the police and/or credit bureaus.
What happens when I dispute a debt?
We will immediately stop communicating about your debt when you indicate a dispute. We'll make sure to confirm your dispute request and the reason(s) you indicated in writing. We then investigate and locate files such as your signed original credit card agreement, statements, and payment history. If we cannot find this information, we'll determine your dispute is valid and close your file. If the debt is yours, we want to work with you on a resolution.
It's been more than 30 days since you contacted me. Can I still dispute my debt?
Yes, we don't want you to spend your hard-earned money on a debt that's not yours!
Should I report my dispute to the credit bureaus?
Yes. Inaccurate information on your credit report can affect your overall creditworthiness, and there can be inconsistencies across the different credit bureaus on what is showing on your credit report. More information about disputing errors on your credit reports can be found here.
